Nieves Pujalte received her B.A. in English Studies from the University of Alicante in Spain and her M.A. and Ph.D. in Spanish from The Ohio State University. Her principal field of concentration is 18th- and 19th-century literature of Spain, her area of diversification is Classical Peninsular Literatures and Cultures, and she has a minor in Latin American Literatures and Cultures. She has also published several articles on Enlightment, Romanticism, and on Realism and her research interest is travel literature and literature of the Comunidad Valenciana.
